Make a Decison

Congratulations! We are so excited you have chosen to take the next step in your walk with Jesus Christ! At First Baptist Church of Greenacres, we teach a simple three-step approach to lead you to the path of salvation through Jesus Christ. We call these steps the ABC's of salvation:

A

A stands for Admit. You must Admit to God that you are a sinner. In Romans 3:23, the Bible says "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." It is hard to admit we are wrong at times, but through God's word we learn that we are all sinners, and the wages of sin is death, eternal death in Hell. But, God sent his only son, who was PERFECT, to come live on earth and then be crucified for our sins before he rose on the third day. The truth is God LOVES you, and admitting your sinful nature is the first set in accepting His son as your Lord and Savior.

B

B stands for Believe. You must Believe that Jesus is God's son and place your trust in Him as your only hope of salvation. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whosever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." You must Believe that Jesus paid it all for you when he died on the cross some two thousand years ago. He knew you before you were even born, and he bore your sin on that cross.

C

C stands for Confess. You must Confess the name of Jesus Christ as your Savior and Sustainer and believe the goodness of His being with all your heart. Romans 10:9 says, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." Be filled with JOY in knowing that God has created you and in the goodness He provides in salvation through His son, Jesus, the Christ.

Prayer

of

Salvation

Now that you know the ABC's of Salvation, you can too be saved by the GRACE of the Lord by praying a short prayer like this:

"Dear Lord Jesus, I Admit that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe that You are the son of God and that You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. You are my Savior and I am so grateful for your forgiveness. In Your Name. Amen."
